If you are not already using Launchy or a similar program launcher, this time saving tip for Windows tip will remove lots of menu clicks from your day.
A step by step guide to setting up a new shortcut:
- Click on the Start icon
- Navigate to the program you want but do not click yet
- Right-click on the program and choose Properties
- Type a letter in the Shortcut key field
- Press OK to close the Properties window
Now, whenever you want to start that program, just hold down ALT and CTRL and press the key you chose.
For example: Ctrl+Alt+W on my computer starts Microsoft Word.
